Bentley Nettles, Attorney at Law

My goal at Nettles Law is to help my clients with the important processes of estate and trust planning, probate, and other future planning needs. Having seen firsthand the problems that can happen when families lack proper end of life preparation, I am committed to helping families prepare for the future and the unexpected possibilities that can arise. With extensive Military Law background, I can represent Veterans dealing with disabilities, mental health issues, and other disability claims.

For dedicated disability and death planning for families and Veterans of all military branches, I can help with important estate and trust planning, probate issues, and Veterans disability and mental disability concerns.

Education and Professional Experience

A Business Management graduate of Texas A&M University, Bentley Nettles received his Juris Doctor from the South Texas College of Law and has been practicing law since 1999. Most recently, he has received his Master of Science in Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School in 2010. Throughout his years as a lawyer, Nettles has served in private practice, as counsel and intelligence information counsel for the U.S. Army, and as an online instructor for Masters Level Legal courses about the challenges and policy impacting Homeland Security and Emergency Management Operation for the University of Alaska, Fairbanks Alaska. He has also published a book on the topic.

Military Background

Beside his work in private practice and other areas, Bentley Nettles has a lengthy military background providing legal and intelligence services for the U.S.  Army in numerous positions. He has served as Information Operations Field Support Team Chief in Afghanistan, Operational Law Chief in Bosnia, Red Team Leader at Ft. Bragg, Administrative Lawyer for the Texas Army Reserves, and General Counsel for the Texas Army National Guard, among others. He is also a National Security Fellow of the Fletcher School of Law and International Diplomacy, TUFTS University. Due in part to his extensive military background, Nettles has devoted much of his efforts to providing experienced service to veterans dealing with Veterans Administration Disability laws and other legal issues that former service personnel face when discharged.
